Vālenz Health^® Names Stan Opstad as SVP, Product

Vālenz Health^® is pleased to announce that Stan Opstad has been named Senior Vice President, Product. 

A seasoned health IT veteran, Opstad has more than 20 years of experience in product management, innovation, and growth. His extensive background in product strategy, operational improvement, and pricing strategy and management has helped him build high-performance product teams across leading industry brands and uniquely positions him to lead Valenz through a new stage of total product integration.

As SVP of Product, Opstad will lead the Valenz product teams in developing and executing a comprehensive, innovative product roadmap that addresses the underserved needs of the healthcare industry. With a focus on improving the member experience and optimizing the utilization of high-value healthcare, Opstad will play a pivotal role in elevating Valenz as a leader in the industry by ideating product opportunities designed to meet changing customer needs and goals. 

Opstad’s hiring comes on the heels of the launch of ValenzONE, the brand’s latest health plan optimizer that integrates cost containment and member engagement to empower members, improve care outcomes, and deliver higher savings. 

Previously, Opstad served as the Chief Product Officer at Zipari, where he was responsible for health plan solution development, innovation, and management. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business and resides in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
